DataTale RS-M2QJ 2-Bay RAID External Hard Drive Enclosure comes with 4 connection interfaces: Firewire 400 (IEEE 1394A), Firewire 800 (IEEE 1394B) , eSATA and USB 2.0, which means you can connect it to any PC or Mac system easily!
With the user-friendly "RAID MASTER" software, you can use it for configure RAID setting or be alerted of potential system problems. In addition, DataTale RS-M2QJ 2-Bay RAID 3.5" External Enclosure allows straightforward RAID mode-setting including: JBOD, RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), and Spanning (BIG).

JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) - Two hard drives individual partition, if single drive failed other still works perfectly.

Spanning (BIG) - Combine two hard drives into one large volume (e.g 4TB + 4TB = 8TB single partition.)

RAID 0 (Striping) - Increase data read/write performance and combine volume.

RAID 1 (Mirroring) - Data protection, data are written identically to two drives, If one drive failed you still have data in other drive.
