The AccuRAID AR212S Series is a 2U rack-mountable RAID solution
designed for file servers, backup, audio/video streaming, and digital video
recording. Capacity up to 12TB, AR212S will be prefect for any application that
requires a large storage requirement. With an industry proven Dual SCSI Ultra320
host interface and cutting edge SATA HDD technology, the AR212S is guaranteed to
achieve the most cost-effective performance and data protection. Twelve
hot-swappable, 3.5”trays for Serial-ATA drives allow quick replacement and
simple trouble-shooting of storage units. The AR212S RAID subsystem can also be
easily scaled to RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6 or to just a simple JBOD
configuration. Featuring durable, heavy duty steel housing and a user-friendly
LCD panel , the AR212S will meet most data intensive application demand.
Architecture
- Intel 80321 400MHz 64-bit RISC processor with 256MB on-board ECC cache
memory (upgradeable to 1GB).
- Areca SATA II RAID 6 ASIC engine provides the highest level of data
protection.
- Tagged command queuing for 256 commands, allows for overlapping data
streams.
- O/S-Independent and Host Transparent RAID solution.
RAID
- RAID 6 can tolerate multiple drive failures without downtime or data
loss which helps to provide the highest level of data protection.
- Online Array roaming, Online RAID level/stripe size migration and Online
capacity expansion.
- Hot swappable drives that support hot spare and automatic hot rebuilding
with automatic drive insertion/ removal detection.
- NVRAM transaction log, and S.M.A.R.T. for drives to improve the RAID
system integrity, reliability, and availability.
Management
- Embedded Enclosure management through WEB GUI, LCD control panel, online
RAID management via RS-232 port.
- Intuitive yet comprehensive GUI for configuration and monitoring from
remote and local.
- Field-upgradeable firmware in flash ROM, Redundant RAID controller
firmware upgrade via RS-232 and WEB GUI.
